DAY 356
Luke 1:39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah;
What’s for breakfast today? What colour of shit should I wear? As much what you eat and wear matter to God, you will NOT necessarily receive specific divine instruction on every single one of them. Those are daily choices God trusts you to make yourself even without explicit instruction.
Following the visit of the Angel Gabriel, Mary did not receive any instruction other than the information that Elizabeth was pregnant. She made up her mind, herself, arose and hastily travelled to Elizabeth’s home.
Many people are stuck marking time because they are waiting for the ‘explicit word from the Lord’ before making any kind of move. As commendable as that is, you are likely to find yourself not making much progress if that is all you do through life. There is a time and place for this, but if indeed we have the mind of Christ, our thoughts leading into our actions should be proceeding from Him.
That alignment can become a starting point for making decisions and choices. You may be waiting for God to speak explicity, when God is waiting for you to get moving. His Word has already gone forth, lay hold on that first, and get moving.
