REVEALING THE FATHER

DAY 339

Luke 10:22 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

We read about the ‘son’ today, and those to whom the son chooses, he reveals the father to them. Therefore  it can be readily inferred that to know the father, you gateway is through the son. Two other verses in scripture offer a deeper context to the Gospel today

Heb 1:3a He [the son] is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. and

Col 1:15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the one who is first over all creation,

This is the reason Jesus, the son, can reveal the father, because he bears the exact stamp or imprint of his very nature. We have read in John 1:12 that as many as believed in him, ‘he gave power to become sons of God’. That is the power to reflect and reveal the glory of God through our own vessel.

The question is ‘how bright is that glory of God shining forth through us? How much of God can others see by looking at your life? It can be disheartening that men develop a dislike for God because of the way He has been misrepresented by those who claim to be his ‘sons’. Today is a call repent, and to return to becoming beacons that radiate the father’s glory.
