FINDING SOLUTIONS

DAY 337

Mark 13:34 It is like a man away on a journey, who when he left home put his servants in charge, each with his particular task, and also ordered the doorkeeper to be continually alert.

Whenever a team of players in any team sport operate in a disorganised manner, the statement that always arises is “that was chaotic”. Chaos is often attributed to a state of formlessness, disorder and utter confusion. Where complex system is taken into account, a state of chaos introduces unpredictability of results and outcomes.

If there is anything we know about God, it is that He is a God of order. When the earth was without form and void, He came to establish order bringing about seasons, separation and predictability. The master in today’s Gospel left his servants with ‘particular or specific tasks’ before heading off. The reason is simple: one man cannot do everything.

In fact, one man is not expected to do everything. Hence, the reason purpose and assignment always enter the fray of conversation. That becomes the system which delineates ones assigned task so they can begin to make efforts to carry out that assignment.

Beloved, you can journey through life from start to finish with a good end results but still end up not completing the specific task assigned to you. You will be remembered in time either by the problems you created or solved. Therefore, whether big or small, it is crucial to identify what the task assigned you is, and then fulfil it. That will always solve a problem.
