Luke  21:34 Make sure that you don't become drunk, hung over, and worried about life. Then that day could suddenly catch you by surprise

There are times when a thought can do fill your mind that you become consumed by it. In every window of opportunity, that becomes the highlight, nothing else comes even close. Jesus warns, therefore, to be careful about the things that consume our thoughts.

The reason is this “we can very easily become so distracted by our thoughts, whether genuine or figments of our imagination that other valuable things requiring equal or greater attention, are ignored and eventually catch us by surprise.

For many people, when they become so engrossed in thoughts about a specific desire, should you dare to ask them “what will you you do for what you want?” Their answer will be “ANYTHING”. And you can be certain they mean that in a very literal sense – you will marvel at how far many are willing to wander.

Beloved, guard your thoughts jealously, therefore, even if it means becoming your own police and questioning them.
