DAY 322
REFERENCE TEXT: Matthew 25:14-30

Whenever others attempt to wade into the things we call ‘our own affairs’, we might see them as busybodies. But if there is a set of words anyone, even in passing, can relay to another, ‘make sure you make the most of your life’, should find it’s way into that vocabulary.
Whenever we think of talents, we think of the things we can physically exhibit, but the chiefest of talents which God has given to all men is the gift of life. Very few recognise this and so live as though their life doesn’t matter not and that they can make no difference. Excuses upon excuses and, reasons unending are then presented to justify such a stance.
A summary of the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30, is what I leave you to ponder on: ‘Your life is God’s gift to you, what you do with it, is your gift to God and the world’. So beloved, make the most of your life; don’t trivialise it, don’t hide it, and don’t offer up excuses. Your life is a gift that must be developed, and put on display.
