OUTSOURCE SOME BATTLES

DAY 321

Luke 18:3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’

A sign of strength is often seated in the ability to face every battle that comes your way, and win. However, not every battle is won through ones own efforts. If you are not a lawyer, you have no business defending yourself in a law court, and neither must you be found in the operating theatre you aren’t a certified surgeon.
Those tasks are best left to those qualified to complete them.

The widow in today’s Gospel was up against ‘an adversary’. Whether this adversary was in a higher or lower sphere of influence than her remains unknown. Regardless, this widow lifted the entire battle and dropped it at the feet of a judge. She had not abandoned the fight, she had pitched her tent in the camp of one who was able to win this fight for her.

Surely, there are some battles in life and destiny that will require you to be at the forefront, doing the heavy lifting. However, there are also other battles in life you have to learn to outsource, whether to God Himself or to other men. The  reason for this is simple: you will not have the capacity nor the ability to win even if you fought them.

In fact, you are very likely to become weary, or walk along with a trail of many defeats if you attempt to fight all your battles by yourself because not every battle you will be victorious in, has to be fought by you.
