REASSURANCE

There are times when you find people laughing as they stare onto their device screens or while reading a book, and you might find that fascinating. You might know someone who appears to fear nothing or is unperturbed in the midst of absolute chaos.

Often,  the reason for this calm and assured showing has nothing to do with temperament or personality, it comes from something deeper. And that is their assurance that comes from the source who powers their life.

Today’s Psalm got me stuck on the first two verses and I found myself smiling with renewed assurance: ‘”

The Lord is light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?"(Psalm 27:1-2)

I would recommend you ponder on these two verses a bit. Beloved, knowing you have ‘backing’ gives you the confidence not to be reckless, but to be bold in life. Uncertainty only makes you appear timid, but the Spirit we have been given is not one of fear and timidity, but of power, love and sound judgement.
