DAY 295

Isaiah 45:1 God’s Message to his anointed, vto Cyrus, whom he took by the hand. To give the task of taming the nations, of terrifying their kings—He gave him free rein, no restrictions:
We read an interesting encounter between God and king Cyrus. What is even more interesting is the nature of the discourse bearing in mind the background of the king in question. This was a king who did not know God, but to him God says ‘you don’t know me but I know you’
There are are levels or places of Influence, wealth or power that when a man attains, spirits will seek you out because of the kind of impact you can have on many matters. Whether it be the Spirit of God, or the devil. It becomes a matter of allegiance. So what is in the message of God calling a pagan king ‘my anointed?’
As far as the purposes of God go, ‘all men’ can be partakers. They may not be believers, but they can still be a part of his plan. To save Israel, God had no problem going to Cyrus, and to save the entire world, he sent a dream to Pharoah, even though it was Joseph who had it’s interpretation. When Joseph dreams, only a small circle of people are concerned, but when Pharoah dreams, the whole nation loses its sleep. It is about influence.
If God finds no man in his camp who has the capacity to do what he desires, he will seek another. This is why we are encouraged to dare to strive for mastery and to do exploits in and for God because, “it is easier for the purposes of God to be birthed by those who understand His Kingdom.”
