DAY 283

I found myself laughing and at the same time, puzzled when I read this conversation between God and Jonah captured in chapter 4. However, the character of Jonah made me concerned a little bit. Not to make me too afraid to read about him, but thinking of what his knowledge about the ways of God cause him to do, got me concerned.
The verses of interest today read:
Jonah was furious. He lost his temper. He yelled at God, “God! I knew it—when I was back home, I knew this was going to happen! That’s why I ran off to Tarshish! I knew you were sheer grace and mercy, not easily angered, rich in love, and ready at the drop of a hat to turn your plans of punishment into a program of forgiveness!"(Jonah 4:1-2 MSG)
It is always a scary thing when any person gains knowledge because what they do with that knowledge is likely to have a knock on effect on others. This is the reason why transformation through the renewal of mind is such a prominent anthem for the believer.
All knowledge, including our knowledge of God and of the world around us, can be abused and misused when we don’t have the requisite wisdom to administer it.
What you know is as important as what you do with what you know.
