DAY 268

Psalm 126:6 Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.
Many prefer a life filled with comfort, often, at no cost. Without having paid any price, such see discomfort in any shape or form as a hindrance and so have no room for any. Unsurprisingly, when pressures arrive, such people tend to buckle completely under.
For some, if offered the opportunity to make an answerable prayer, they would pray all challenges away, to usher in a period of absolute comfort. They would prefer to run from discomfort in all its shapes and forms. That is however a part of the gems God places on our paths as part of our formation.
The Psalmist, thus sends an interesting message to the effect that: ‘you may be crying as you sow, but by all means make sure you sow’. Things may be uncomfortable now, but bear with it, as you grow and transition.
Beloved, there is something everything you face in life can teach you about God, and it will take you walking through the valley of the shadow of death, to know what it means to be comforted by His rod and His staff (Ps 23:4)
So be careful how you classify the seasons in a man’s life, especially when that man knows His God, because harvest follows sowing.
