DAY 245

Reference text: Matthew 25:14-22
When one does not know what they have, they stand little chance of putting it to work. And that stems from an under-appreciation of the value and potential inherent in what they have.
We read that the master entrusted his assets to his servants prior to leaving on his journey. Yet, upon his return, the servant who received one talent said to him ‘You reap where you have not sown (Mt 25:24)’. That is a statement of interest because the giving of the talent signified seed sowing.
This servant, although equipped, was oblivious to the equipping and so ultimately was unprofitable. In fact, he misused his equipping. This outcome will likely be replicated whenever equipping, value and potential is not discerned.
