YOU NEED LIGHT

Psalms 139:12 You can see in the dark, for it is not dark to Your eyes. For You the night is just as bright as the day. Darkness and light are the same to Your eyes.

Often, we need to draw on other sources of text to shed more light on others. Today, we can do that briefly based on today’s text. The Psalmist makes a bold claim that to God, darkness and light are alike. A short journey through the word of God reveals in  1 John 1:5 ‘God is light and in him there is no darkness at all’

The definition of darkness is the ‘absence of light’, hence, where there is light, darkness is dispelled. Job 29:3 thus reads ‘when his lamp shone over my head, ang by His light I walked through darkness’.

Therefore, for any dimension of darkness across a nation, land, or life, the answer is light- a specific and comprehensive body of knowledge, strategies or blueprint that secures victory. So for every aspect of our lives that we are lacking [financial, relationship, spiritual growth, prayer, word, study etc], it is an indication that we are light-deficient in that area.

Whenever light comes, clarity follows. Therefore, seek God’s light on the matters of life and destiny, for with the clarity that accompanies light comes the boldness required to run the course of life.
