FUEL FOR YOUR TANK

DAY 239

There are many times when we hear that words ‘there is an answer to a question only you have’. This is a variation of the statement ‘you have a unique purpose and a specific assignment. However, as unique as that purpose is, it does not involve only you. Many other lives are tied to your fullilling of that purpose.

So what happens when you fail to become all that is required to fulfil destiny? The harsh truth is others will also be impacted. Because when you fail to embrace all the rudiments necessary to rise, all those hands you were to meant to help rise, are affected.

However, God in his mercy, is unwilling to let his children bear lasting pain and defeat because of the culmination of the choices and actions of another. So he does what happens to Shebna: he finds another man who is already aligned and adds more to his assignment.

We read in Isaiah 22:21

"And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah ".

He took from one to give to another. Jesus spoke similar words ‘ For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him’ (Mt 13:12).

Therefore, whenever the charge is made “to maximise your potential to become the best version to fulfil your divine assignment”, don’t just see it as a noisy cymbal clanging. It is your reminder that ‘others are also awaiting your fulfilling of destiny’. That isn’t to add a weight unto your shoulders, it is rather to add fuel to your tank.
