DAY 214
Exodus 34:29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD.
When one studies for a professional certification, you know you have become once that certificate is awarded. However, the intricacies of the role is built over time. It takes diligent process to arrive at a point where things become second nature and you know what to do even without much effort. In this domain, it is others who let you know that ‘you have become’.
Thus, when you truly ‘become’, you may not even know. You may have been reading a bit at a time, praying a few minutes at a time, practicing that skill for a few hours at a time, or nurturing your gifts diligently. The aggregate of those efforts will result in attaining a level of mastery that sometimes you, yourself, are unaware of.
Like Moses, you radiate what you do not know about and it is only in your dealings with others that they will draw your attention to this radiance. Your speech will show it, your actions will confirm it and your audience will appreciate it. Moses came out with a radiant face only because He had spent time in the presence of God.
So here is the catch though:
‘No one making any real kingdom impact; radiating glory, influencing man and systems, or affecting lives, simply stumbled into it by chance. There are always dealings and consecrations that have to be honoured in secret, to birth the external manifestations others see.
