WHAT DON’T YOU KNOW ?

Matthew 13:7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

We will have very different schools of thought whenever we explore the parable of the sower. The seed of interest today are those that fell among thorns.

These seeds could very well argue that they received the short end of stick from the very start when compared to those that fell on good soil. They wouldn’t be wrong because they fell in the company of thorns. That already represented an unfriendly atmosphere where the battle for survival starts at the very time of appearing.

But beloved, here is what came to mind today “the same soil nourishing the thorns, is the same that was nourishing the seed. So the question is “did the thorns know something the seeds did not? Or were the seeds ignoring something crucial the thorns knew? I asked this because both the seed and thorns grew, but the thorns succeeded in squeezing all life out of the growing seeds.

I know growing as seeds among thorns gets you so focused and switched on to survival mode that thriving is an alien concept. However, it’s worth asking yourself ‘is there anything I don’t know about my current environment that could be the key to my thriving and rising?
