BECOME A HARD TARGET.

DAY 205

Exodus 14:8 The Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, so that he pursued the Israelites, who were marching out boldly.

The same Pharoah who charged Moses and Aaron by night (Ex 12:3), to take Israel out of Egypt, appears dazed when he is told that Israel had fled. So, he decides to pursue. That pursuit is the focus of our reflection. The only reason the Israelites could be pursued was because they were moving. And since you do not have to chase or run after anything that is static, it becomes easy prey.

The enemy does not expend energy at everybody, his arsenals are therefore always very targeted. We would realise, therefore, that in life, it is often the men and women  taking their world by storm who face the biggest of obstacle. Those appear to bear the brunt of the punches and batterings of the enemy and this is because these are moving.

However, this same movement makes them a harder target because a moving target is harder to hit than a static one. Don’t be caught napping or stagnant when the enemy comes hovering round like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Mind you, not every one is devourable, but you can be certain that a stationary target is easy prey. Therefore, keep moving- keep growing, keep improving, keep expanding your bank of the word of God, expand your prayer bank, nurturing your gifts and striving for mastery. Simply, keep moving as God leads you.
