STRONGER THAN WHAT YOU FACE

In soccer, it is easy to predict the outcome of a game with greater precision when the teams involved play in different tiers than if both clubs were in the same tier. There is room for upsets, but that is often down to chance. Banking on the elements of luck, a mistake from your opponent or the helping hand of a third party.

The one strategy that guarantees a replicable degree of consistent victory is therefore what God did with the people of Israel:

"And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies (Psalms 105:24).

Whatever is stronger than you, you cannot defeat. We raise standards and go on offensives in battles often when we know we stand a good chance of winning. This is why Jesus questioned which king with a lesser army, would readily rush headfirst into battle against another king who possesses a mightier army?

Beloved, God has fashioned us to do battle from a position of strength, and so we have access to systems of advantage and accurate intelligence from the realm of God. We might not know, but because we have Christ in us, we have literally been made stronger than any enemy, obstacle or opposition.

We have capacities in a measure we are probably yet to identify. But

‘In Christ and with Christ, you are stronger than anything you will face in this life’ – Find a way to believe this.
