TURNING EVIL FOR GOOD

DAY 194

Genesis 45:5 Don't worry or blame yourselves for what you did. God is the one who sent me ahead of you to save lives.

Things which are sold often fall into one if two categories: sold for a profit, or because it is no longer a priority for it’s current holder. Usually, if a valid transaction occurs, the seller has very little concern for what happens to the product sold. Likewise, we notice in Judah’s address to Joseph, a statement with certainty that ‘Joseph was dead’. At least, that was what they believed.

Yet, as I read Joseph’s last statement in the chapter, the lyrics of the song ‘see a victory’ burst forth:

You take what the enemy meant for evil and you turn it for good,
you turn it for good”

See a victory, Elevation worship

Turning around happens at the instance of a relationship, it therefore takes remaining with God for that ‘turning to good’ to happen. The life of Joseph reveals what can become of a person who keeps their tent pitched in the camp of God even though they may have been written off by men.

Regardless then of what might be going on around you, hindrances, challenges, apparent losses, etc, you can be confident in that ‘All things work together for the good of ‘them that love God and are called according to o his purpose’. Yours then, is to keep loving Him and He will do the turning around’.
