DAY 151

Luke 1:41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, her baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and empowered by Him.
There are many sounds in this world, and as far as our memory and previous experiences go, we are able to create a relationship between sounds and emotions. Some sounds trigger joy, others fear, some a sense of loss, and some sadness.
Our voices are also sounds, hence the question: ‘what does your voice carry?’ When Mary’s voice reached the ears of Elizabeth, the babe leapt in her womb for joy and she was filled with the Holy Spirit. So again, the question goes out ‘What do your words evoke?
Often times, we are oblivious of the things we say, to whom and for what. Just because we can, does not mean we should alway say something, particular if the words we speak have no building up or creative effect? It took the spoken word for creation to become, hence words have creative value. In the same way, they carry equivalent destructive value when wielded in the wrong way.
So weigh the words your voice carries before you releases them forth, even if briefly.
