DAY 127

Acts 6:1 But as the believers rapidly multiplied, there were rumblings of discontent. The Greek-speaking believers complained about the Hebrew-speaking believers, saying that their widows were being discriminated against in the daily distribution of food.
A question comes to mind: whenever we ask for more of anything, even things seemingly simple as more time with a person or more food on our plate, do we explore if we have the capacity to accommodate that more when it is given or do we ask for more just because we can?
Are you ready to pay the price for more? Or even better, are you able to handle more when it arrives? When the number of the disciples increased, or simply ‘when more was added to their number’, problems began to arise. Why? Because with more, comes more. With every increase in capacity, there is a proportional increase in demand and responsibility.
More financial resources means the greater your appetites are going to become and the more restraint you will require.
With greater influence and power come expanding circles of outgoing and incoming influence, do you have the capacity to withstand them and still stand for God?
With greater Anointing and graces comes access to the hearts of men- what will you do with them?
With greater visibility of your gifts come the opening of doors and access to even to kings. Will you stick with God or will the fame get to your head and cause you to twist?
What will you do with the ‘more’ you are asking for?
