WHAT IS MAN?

DAY 126

In the language of scripture, man is presented as a unique being, fashioned according to the image and likeness of God. To this man, who was made male and female, God gave dominion over all that He had created. Thus, while the heavens, even the heaven of heavens is the Lord’s, the earth He has given to man. So whether you agree or not matters not, this is a world of men.

We read from Acts 13:50 “

But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts."

Men therefore, have always had a place in the lifting or falling of other men. God requires men to initiate and sustain lifting, the devil also uses men to orchestrate the falling of men. In both cases, men sit at the epicentre. It should therefore not really be a surprise that when the Jews felt threatened by the Apostles, they used men to throw them out: honourable women and men of power.

Sometimes, you may be given the opportunity to choose which men are in your circle, but by all means ‘you cannot be exempted from the influence of men’. Men are not objects to be used and discarded, but they can serve as ladders, and be instruments of leverage.

Don’t ignore men because while there are many things money cannot buy, your relationships with men will buy them.
