STAYING LIFTED

DAY 115

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, then, under God's mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in his own good time.

God does his lifting and exalting at the right time because He understands the consequences of power and influence on the untransformed mind. Of note, you don’t do the lifting, that is God’s to do. Yours is to ensure that when the proper time arrives, He finds you prepared enough to start with.

Your training will continue through the years because ‘a lifted version you is not the best version of you’. It will take more turning and churning to squeeze the best out of you.

So humble yourself, but don’t be mediocre. Submit to instruction, pay heed to direction and do not become resistant to correction.

Those are building blocks you will need in the school of the Spirit to be lifted and to stay lifted.
