DAY 107

Nicodemus comes to Jesus to make a statement that was quite intriguing. The Gospel of John presents it in these words
'Rabbi (Teacher), we know [without any doubt] that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs [these wonders, these attesting miracles] that You do unless God is with him.”(3:2)
On the basis of their public outcry and responses, you might think the rulers of the Jews only held a specific negative narrative of Jesus, but Nicodemus comes at night and clear words tells Jesus ‘forget about all the charades during the day, we all know you are no ordinary person’; where ‘We’ is in reference to the assembly Nicodemus belonged to.
As we walk about, others are watching, some are learning from us and many know what we stand for and what we tolerate. Don’t think no one knows. Literally, ‘we are billboards for God, proclaiming his message loudly both with our voice and even in our silence using the examples we set and lives we live.
Unfortunately, it is very easy to forget this and the outcome is seeking excuses to live anyhow. You will forever remain a billboard and although the message you show might not be known by yourself, you can be certain that it is brightly on display for others to see. And because of it, some may be won or lost. Let’s therefore not live anyhow for we don’t know who is watching or who is learning from us.
