IN THE BEGINNING, GOD

DAY 37

When the earth was notably void and without form, the Spirit of a God hovered the waters and then God spoke ‘let there be light’. That was the voice of order. Therefore formlessness, emptiness, chaos, nothingness, and fruitlessness have nothing to do with God.

Another statement catches attention. It is the opening words of scripture

 "In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth"(Gen 1:1). 

Yes, in the beginning, God!. If there is one thing our generation of believers has become good at, it is excluding God from everything until things get out of  hand. We exhaust all our energy and use every resource at our human disposal. God is only invited on site only to get us out of a messy situation.

Beloved, in the beginning, God. Before  you start, God! While you are contemplating, God! While executing, God! We have to take time to ensure that we have secured the place of God before anything else arrives. In fact, His presence will bring everything else along. Let’s not become people who go running after God only when we have driven ourselves between a rock and a hard place.
