YOU WILL ARRIVE AT THE DESTINATION

DAY 28

Mark 4:35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.

‘Let us go across to the other side’. Those were the words of JESUS. He suggested the journey and chose the location. After the boat set out, He went to bed, laying his head on a cushion. It is interesting that Jesus would opt for a rather comfortable sleep on this particular journey.

While the disciples began battling with the “storm of wind” that arose, they ensured Jesus became aware of their fight hence their words “Teacher,  do you not care that we perish?” In that moment, the only image they perceived Jesus as was a teacher who had closed His eye to the toiling of His very own. So much so that while they they knew he had ability to do something about the situation, He had opted to do nothing. What could have been more selfish than that?

To make matters worse, He had suggested the journey- He recommended they cross over to the other side. Beloved, those same words which could be submitted as evidence against Jesus in the situation, becomes the very bedrock for our faith. Yes, He suggested the journey, so until we reach that other side, we can trust we are safe.

That is the advantage of walking in alignment with the will of God. Regardless of what happens on the way, your arrival at the other side is guaranteed. Not by virtue of what you do, but by the integrity of the Word of God. Just continue to follow the course you have been given.
