IT TAKES MORE THAN SPEED

John 20:4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

Speed is an advantage, that statement needs not be up for debate because of you can arrive in any location space faster than anyone else can, you clearly have an edge. The same is true in any race, the fastest runner hasan initial advantage. Yet, the fastest is not always guaranteed to be the winner because in some situations, it takes more than speed.

Therefore, if speed is the only thing you have, then you could be in for quite a big surprise when you realise that is not enough. At least, the difference in knowing of the two disciples in question reveals that much.

Peter, was the slower of the two disciples, disadvantaged therefore from the onset in the game of speed. Yet, the first to arrive only saw the linen clothes from entrance while Peter arrived, entered, saw the linen and the head cloth folded up in place.
Speed carried the advantage only to a certain threshold where something more than speed became the requirement.

Unless speed therefore is existent in combination with other ingredients such as patience, courage, wisdom (just to name a few), all you gain is arrival. You are likely to miss out on the whole journey because what the journey intends to do, other than you dashing away, is equip you with the tools and knowhow to make a difference where and when it matters. It takes more than speed.
