This is a thought that run through my mind at the start of today ‘the cost of things’. Not in a relation to tangible items purchased with money, but even the things that are paid for in other ways. Let’s not for once think that we can get anything for free, because nothing is free. What is true is the fact that there is always a transaction that has to take place.
If the cost is not borne by you, it actually does suggest payment has been or will be made some other way.
At the cost of your time, relationships, or alternative resources.
The danger of not realising the cost of something has the potential to result in incomplete transactions. We can compare this to the king who steps forward for war ignorant of the army his opponent brings against him. A war like that could come at a cost they may be unable or unwilling to bear.
So for what you’re seeking or intending to do, what should be pondered on is this ‘are you willing and are you able to bear the cost if a receipt or estimate is placed in front of you?
