Matthew 16:21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

Today, just like in many other instances, Jesus teaches us about the place of timing and process. The fact that ‘Jesus was the Christ’ had to be established and understood by the disciples before anything about the what and how of his mission could be presented.

Without specific foundations, some buildings would not remain standing. Without fixed and set building blocks,
the chances of sustaining and maintaining anything are pretty slim because when the winds blow and the storms rise, only those structures  on solid rock will remain standing.

There are building blocks and stages that must never be missed. There are platforms for learning which must never be skipped. Life as we know it is a very brutal teacher because it will teach you the same lesson as many times as you need to, until you learn what is intended.
