BOTH SIDES OF THE COIN

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Most people have something or someone to which they respond regardless of their state of mind or mood. For some, it could be a particular dish, song or even just a statement but it should have the ability to capture their attention to make communication possible once again. The writer to the Hebrews presents one of such items to us- faith, something God always responds to.

To journey with the Lord means to have some faith primarily in His Existence because that is a prerequisite- the belief that ‘He is’. Faith however is so appealing to God that the moment He sees it expressed, He is moved to act in our favour. In His eyes, faith is a must have hence a measure of it been given to every man.

You can choose to believe many things, but if you choose to have your faith established in the Lord, Almighty, the I AM THAT I AM, then you need to know that he is also a rewarder of them that ‘DILIGENTLY’ seek him. He is a God who will not settle for second best- He also wants the very best of everything we have to offer him thus He doesn’t want ordinary seekers, but diligent seekers.

We can come up with the excuse that God chooses the weak things to shame the mighty, but one thing we cannot throw out is that God never chose ‘just anybody’. He picked those individuals whom He could trust had the capacity to be diligent in executing whatever assignment He was entrusting to them. Therefore, wherever God places you, it make it your responsibility to be the very best you can be.

Remember # God will respond to faith but he does not ignore diligence.
